Men's Bible Study, Sundays @ 9:15 a.m.
A group of men are meeting @ the Lake Carolina School Cafeteria for Bible study going through the book Point Man by Steve Farrar. You can call the church office for more details @ 419.0989. Barry Slayden is the facilitator for this group.
Lake Scare-O-Lina - October 26
Put Oct 26 on your calendars from 4-6 p.m.! VillageChurch will be hosting Lake Scare-o-lina on this date. To pull off this great event we'll need workers to serve during the event. Over 1,000 will be there and it gives our church an opportunity to serve them! Our small group leaders will be getting their groups together to help and serve. This great event that will feature a cake walk, games for the kids, candy, hayrides, a pumpkin patch, free popcorn and much more!
Associate Pastor to Students and Small Groups
Matthew Phillips will be joining the VillageChurch staff on Sept. 14 as our minister to students and small groups. Matthew grew up in Irmo, is a graduate of Ben Lippen and USC, and looks a lot like Michael Phelps. On Sept. 14 we will have a special get together (food and drinks) for parents and youth to get to know Matthew better. Put this date on your calendar and bring your friends!
Blythewood Football Meal Ministry
VillageChurch has been given a great ministry opportunity. We have agreed to serve meals to the football team of Blythewood High before each Blythewood game (home games are Aug. 29, Sept. 12, Sept. 19, Oct. 10, Oct. 17, Oct. 31, and Nov. 7). Following the meals, Pastor Erik and others will be leading the football team in a pre-game devotion. If you would like to be a part of this ministry opportunity, please reply to this email.
Service Opportunity - Running 1st Down Markers for Ridge View and Blythewood High School
Are you looking to get the best football seats possible this year? Would you like to be close to the action? Well, you can have that chance on Fridays! VillageChurch has been able to serve Ridge View and Blythewood High Schools by running the First Down markers for their home games for free! We need YOU to help us run the markers to serve these schools. Respond to this email is you would like to serve on the Chain Gang for a few games. We will be running the markers on Aug. 29, Sept. 5, Sept. 12, Sept. 19, Sept. 26, Oct. 3, Oct. 10, Oct. 17, Oct. 24, Oct. 31 and Nov. 7!
