MATTHEW PHILLIPS, Associate Pastor of Youth & Small Groups
Matthew Phillips is a native of Texas, but do not let that fool you because he was raised in Columbia, SC. This avid Gamecock fan graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2008 with a degree in Public Relations and is now pursuing his Master's of Divinity through Southeastern Theological Seminary. In high school Matthew was a tempt for Dunder Mifflin and participated in the 100 meter barrel run in the 1996 Olympic games. His medal was revoked, but Matthew still owns the world record for youngest anabolic steroid user. If Matthew is not preaching the gospel then he loves to make others laugh. He has been at VillageChurch since September of 2008.
